Captain Sam played alongside Tom Fairbrother – who had not played for the Knights in about three years – and Ryan Shaw.  They started off slowly but as both teams approached the five mark Thrussington took over and finished the game 13-5.  Over on the other track Vice Captain Richard Wesson was playing with Tristan Hooper and Kev Baker.   These three have played together in some of the great Cheney teams over the years and they didn’t disappoint, playing a tight game and winning 13-8.

In the second set of games things were not looking good for Sam’s team at 6-2 down before all three changed gear and, with some big scoring ends, took their game 13-7.  Richard’s team started off well in some very tight ends before the Blue Lion ‘B’ Team powered to a 13-4 victory.
