The county council is carrying out a survey of constituents’ needs from the rural transport that it provides. This will be put towards a policy and strategy on rural transport that will be put to the Council’s cabinet in the autumn. The council needs to make savings and transport provision is in the spotlight.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SURVEY DOES NOT DIRECTLY RELATE TO THE REMOVAL OF OUR “100” BUS SERVICE. IT IS A WIDER RANGING SURVEY OF PEOPLE’S TRANSPORT NEEDS ACROSS LEICESTERSHIRE.
There is also a paper version available to download for you to fill in and post off.
Following this autumn’s cabinet meeting there will be a review of the usefulness of regular bus routes – USING UPDATED DATA FROM A SURVEY UNDERTAKEN LATER THIS YEAR. If you don’t want our bus service to be removed (and the alternative that will be provided may be perfectly acceptable) – PLEASE USE THE BUS TO RAMP UP THE USAGE FIGURES.
USE IT OR LOSE IT !!
