6th Gaddesby Half Marathon

Saturday 14th May 2005

Report and Results

This year was our sixth Half Marathon.  The late afternoon start drew an increased field of 207 starters.  The revised start time proved a hit with the competitors.

Final results are linked here.    There are still two runner 73s on the results.   Contact me if you can resolve this issue.

Thanks to all who helped make the race a success.  In particular John Skevington for providing the timing and results service and Jeff Bodycott for his tireless work behind the scenes ensuring all ran smoothly on the day.

We received sponsorship from The Melton Building Society and from Masterfoods - money which covered the costs of the event.  This meant that funds raised from entries and activities on the day went directly to Rainbows.  The total amount raised is not known yet as some runners will have collected sponsorship but entries and the raffle raised over £2,100.

Thank you to all who took part and helped to make the race such a success.
